My cat has a bleeding, oozing wound with missing flesh. What should I do?

My cat had a spit of missing fun with a small scab. It seems to have ruptured and is bleeding and oozing. It’s not super deep but it looks like a chunk of flesh is missing. We washed and put hydrogen peroxide on it. What else should I do?

It's possible that this is an abscess or other wound. Sometimes these just need to drain and be clean to heal, and other times surgery to place a drain and give antibiotics is needed. I would recommend watching the area closely over the next 24-36 hours and taking Louie to the vet if there is any discharge from the wound, redness, swelling, or it's increasing in size.
