My cat Ginger is two. She is not eating very much and will meow, hiss or growl every time I touch her. She tried to per this morning and barely anything came out. She has chronic gingivitis but that has never caused any problems.

It sounds like it's causing Ginger problems now if she is eating very much. I think she needs to see a vet right away, as it's very serious when a cat won't eat. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
