My puppy has cluster seizures, is weak, and won't eat. What can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 9 days old | 7.7 lbs

My puppy was suffering from cluster seizures from last 7 days. Doctor has given him Gardenal 30mg tablet, after eating it for 3 days he reduces the number of seizures in a day but after few days(almost after 2 days) he again started suffering from cluster seizures. Now his body is not working, it became very loose, he is not eating anything, hw is only drinking milk if we pour milk in his mouth by insisting him. So what should I do to make him better? Should we give him glucose in hospital?

I am sorry that Kiku is not feeling well. Seizures in a young puppy could be caused by a lot of different factors. low blood sugar, abnormal brain function, liver shunt and even infection can cause seizures. Typically I find phenobarbital does not stop seizures in younger dogs unless the issue is addressed which started them. I would highly recommend taking Kiku into a vet for blood test and x-rays to look for the cause of the seizures and going from there. I would recommend seeing a vet as soon as possible based on the information you provided. Hope kiku feels better
