My dog has persistent leg rashes. What causes them and what can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 3 months and 9 days old | 25 lbs

Mia is getting these rashes all over the same leg. I don’t know what to do anymore. We have been to the vet several times, they did a skin graft (later on I found more spots), she is an inside dog, I washed all fabrics and used knockout spray on top of that, she’s on derm caps, she is on flea meds, and we have changed her diet and still nothing is working. It’s very frustrating not knowing what’s causing her skin issues. What do I do? :(

I would suggest allergy testing so you can find out what the underlying cause is of her allergy. This should be done through a veterinary dermatologist or a vet that has a special interest in dermatology. Luckily it does not seem very severe at this stage but of course, you don't want it to progress further. It does not appear to be flea related in my opinion.
