My dog's eyes are watery for months. Is it allergies from pollen?

I live in South Florida and for the past 2 months, my dog has had watery eyes all the time. The discharge is clear. Spoke with my Vet and we believe it might be allergies, as I have been getting notifications of high pollen count in my area. We just can't figure out why her eyes would water so much so unexpectedly. I just read your article on allergies, but it focused mostly on skin. Any thoughts as to what you might think my dog is experiencing? Pet's info: Dog | Fox Terrier | Female | spayed | 11 years and 8 months old | 24 lbs

Allergies are certainly possible. Infections can also cause excessive watering. If Leah has not had a physical exam to check her eyes, I recommend to have this done. It’s a vet thinks allergies are the most likely cause, you should discuss starting her on an anti-histamine to see if this helps. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
