Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Female | unspayed
I have 2 cockateils male and female.I accidentally kept them in open sunlight for quite a few hours,in the evening one of them (female) started to make strange noise something like human asthma ...trying to collect air to breathe but not able to breathe..I kept it on cool environment under a table fan...please give me a solution so that I can help ..It sounds very scary...looks like nose is blocked.i cant say anything...its just sleeping making that noise something like sneezing with mouth open.

Thank you for using PetCoach. Respiratory distress in a bird is an emergency situation. I recommend taking her to an avian veterinarian asap. Keep her in s a warm, draft free, area and limit stress and handling as much as possible until you get her to see the vet. If you do not know of an avian veterinarian, www.aav.org may help you find someone in your area.
