What are these bumps and hair loss spots on my young dog's skin?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | BullBoxer | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 63 lbs

What is this? It started as a bump, now has hair loss from the area, doesn’t seem to bother her when I touch it, three spots on top of head, two by neck/chest and one on rear/hip. She is barely a year old, boxer/pit maybe shepherd mix ?

Lesions that look like this typically have the three causes and they are mites, ringworm or bacterial infection. If the areas are continuing to spread or are not resolving within a couple weeks I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian who can perform some easy diagnostics to determine the cause. At home you can try washing the lesions with soap and rinsing them well. Do not get soap or water in the eyes or the ears. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
