My dog has dry scabs near his ear, but he's not bothered. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 1 month old | 80 lbs

I noticed some dry scabs near my dogs ear. It’s not on his skin but it’s coming off I uploaded some pics and I’m not sure what’s this from. Doesn’t hurt him and he’s acting normal

That looks like a thick old scab that likely has fairly healed skin under it. He may have had a "hot spot" which is superficial dermatitis - usually caused by yeast or bacteria. If Orcan is itching the area, you see more, or it's still there after a week, I'd recommend taking him in to the vet
