My Maltese has eye redness from scratching. How can I help?

MY precious little Maltese has hurt her eyes by accident and scratching, her nails are trimmed now and now she has some redening near her eyes. How can I help her heal the scratches? Any advice? Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 5 years and 10 months old | 4 lbs
