Why is my turtle not eating and hiding in its shell for two months?

Pet's info: Reptile | Turtle | 0.5 lbs

My Egyptian turtle wakes up everyday and I used to feed her butnjow she wakes up everuday but refuse to eat and this has happened for 2 months.when trying to feed it,it refuses to eat by getting her head inside its shell or facing any direction except that of food.There isn't any physical change

Thanks for reaching out about Loofa and including photos. If husbandry is adequate, then infectious or metabolic diseases need to be considered. Intestinal infections or parasites are common. Liver or kidney diseases can affect turtles also. A veterinary visit is recommended to assist with a diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, soaking in 2-3 cm warm water might encourage drinking, urination or defecation. Good luck.
