My senior dog is suddenly lethargic, won't eat or drink. What's wrong?

My dog has been acting up the last two days, on Tuesdays we were playing outside in the backyard for a good 20 minutes died and yesterday she was all tired and I didn’t think anything of it she’s 56 so I figured she was just getting old and was tired from yesterday, but today she won’t move off the bed and she won’t even eat or drink what do you think this is

Lexi sounds sick. I think she needs to see a vet now. There could be many different things wrong with her such as a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. Please take her into a vet immediately.

    Poor girl. I would certainly recommend taking Cookie in to your vet to have her examined and blood testing done to look for underlying causes for her illness. Because her symptoms are so vague, she could have a number of things causing this including: kidney disease, liver disease, an infection, an endocrine disorder (i.e. Cushings disease, Addison't disease) or even neoplasia (cancer) has to be considered. After some testing the vet should be able to narrow down the possibilities and then hopefully it is something that is treatable with medications. I hope that your furry friend Cookie gets well soon!
