My cat isn't eating and is throwing up white foam. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 years old | 10 lbs

My pet and I moved back in with my mom. He has not been eating well for a week now. He threw up white foam yesterday and today. I've been giving him a high calorie gel to give him some nutrition. What should I do? My cat is aggressive and the last thing I want to do is take him to the vet. What can i do to help him eat again? Or does this seem like a more serious problem? He is not acting sick, just not eating as much as he used to. Please help me I am desperate..

I'm sorry Dusty is sick. Given that he has not been eating well for a week and is now vomiting, he really does have to see a vet. A loss of appetite can be very serious in cat. I would take him into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
