My dog is still passing live worms after deworming, is this normal?

I just took Joey to get his shots and dewormer last week. Today I noticed he threw up and pooped out worms, but they were alive is that normal ? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 25 days old | 10 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! That is not common 1 week after deworming. I would recommend you contact your veterinarian as they know which type of worms they were trying to treat and which medication they used but you will most likely have to have him reevaluated for another deworming treatment. It may be best to perform a fecal exam to check the specific type of parasite. Best of luck!
