Sometimes when I take my dog to go potty on his potty mat, he squats down but no pee comes out. Should I be worried?

If Pogi is unable to urinate, this could indicate an emergency situation. He may be dealing with a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine, stones in the urinary tract, a mass, endocrine disease, kidney disease, or trauma to the area. If he is straining and unable to produce urine you should have Pogi seen by a vet right away.

This could be a sign of lower urinary tract disease like a urinary tract infection or bladder stones. I would recommend making an appointment to see your veterinarian- they might recommend checking a urine sample to look for signs of infection.
