Puppy threw up after deworming. Could it be parvo or side effects?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs

We gave pixel medicine for deworming. Exactly ab hour after that he started vomiting continuously and did not drink or ear anything. After 2 hours he became active, had water and rice + yogurt . Are there chances if parvo? Pixel got his third vaccination for parvo on sunday.

Hi again! It is good to hear Pixel became active again and starting eating after a couple hours. I would say if he doesn't continue to vomit or have diarrhea for the next 24 hours and his energy is good and all else is normal, then this is a good sign and may just be related to the deworming medication. If he continues to vomit and/or have diarrhea then there may be something else more serious going on and he should see his veterinarian soon. I hope this helps!
