My dog has a pink mark under his nose for a week. What is it?

Hi this pink mark has appeared under my dogs nose he's had it about a week it doesn't bother him and he eating OK

Hello, The pink area of skin under the nose looks like a focal area of trauma. I have seen similar lesions in dogs licking or biting crate or cage doors. However, please continue to monitor to spot for changes in size, color, or bleeding. If area fails to heal, follow up with your veterinarian to discuss a skin biopsy.

    It’s hard to say without a photo. Sometimes a pink mark can indicate a bacterial infection or ringworm (which humans can get). A mass is also possible. If the area does not go away within a few days, I recommend to have Ash see his veterinarian. You can also gently wash the area with soap and rinse well. Don’t get soap or water in the nose or mouth.
