My dog has head tremors. Is it idiopathic or a serious health issue?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 62 lbs

My dog had head tremors this morning for a few minutes then again this afternoon for about 10 minutes. I saw a video on YouTube of a dog with idiopathic tremors and it looked just like my dog. Is it serious?

I recommend making an appointment to have Bindi seen by your veterinarian. It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish idiopathic head tremors from seizure activity, and your vet can examine Bindi, look at the video, and if necessary run some tests to help figure out if there is reason to be concerned, or if it truly is idiopathic head tremors, which are not concerning.
