Rottweiler pup about 8 months old started drooling more than usual yesterday. He isn't acting like he is sick. Still eating and drinking normal and being playful and active. No vomiting or diarrhea. Should I be concerned?

Hello. While drooling may be a sign of nausea, since he is eating & drinking, this is unlikely. Drooling may occur if he is still cutting a tooth, from an infection in one of the salivary glands, response to an unusual odor or scent, or even something stuck in his mouth or between his teeth. Try to look in his mouth for any redness or lesions on his cheeks or tongue & make sure he does not have anything lodged especially in his back molars. But, if overall, he is acting well, just watch him to see if he does show any signs of being unwell. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
