Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 14 years and 11 months old | 16 lbs
My cat has been puking for the past several weeks now. We changed his diet from dry food to wet food and that stopped but not only did his vomiting come back it increased to him throwing up 3-4 times a day. His vomit used to be clear/white and now he’s puking dark red blood like (not sure but worried if it’s blood). What can we do?

Hi, and thanks for your question. These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). Gastric or duodenal ulcerations may be present. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed.
