Why is my cat throwing up dark red blood multiple times a day?

My cat has been puking for the past several weeks now. We changed his diet from dry food to wet food and that stopped but not only did his vomiting come back it increased to him throwing up 3-4 times a day. His vomit used to be clear/white and now he’s puking dark red blood like (not sure but worried if it’s blood). What can we do? Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 14 years and 11 months old | 16 lbs
