Is my vaccinated dog a parvo carrier for my unvaccinated puppy?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | 1 year and 2 months old | 8 lbs

I have a 1yr old dog whom has been vaccinated, im also getting a pup thats only 4wks old and too young to vaccinate, can my 1yr old carry the parvo ect virus and give it to mu unvacd pup??????

Hello, while we can see carrier states with Parvo, generally this is from naturally infected dogs that have survived the virus. It is extremely unlikely that a vaccinated dog will be a carrier of Parvovirus. I think your new puppy will be perfectly safe, as long as you protect the puppy from going anywhere other than your home & yard until he is fully vaccinated at 4 months of age.
