My dog has had this growth on her belly for over a year now, initially the growth was a lot smaller and appeared to have stopped growing however recently it has began growing again, the growth has never appeared to cause her any pain however I am concerned to what the growth is. This mass seems to be a mammary gland tumor but it needs to be ideally assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration).
