My lovebird's all puffed up and constantly closing and opening his eyes, he eats a bit more than usual and drinks fresh water normally but also tries to throw his food up. I'm really worried about my wonderful old man. What should I do? Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Male | unneutered | 12 years and 7 months old

Thanks for reaching out about Kiki. Could he have ingested something that was not food? Sounds like he is sick and trying to vomit. Metabolic diseases (liver, kidney, pancreas) can also cause nausea. A veterinarian probably needs to be visited soon, as small birds have few caloric reserves. Good luck.
