My cat is shaking her head and scratching. Is it an ear infection?

I noticed this on my cat this morning, it is really bothering her and she seems depressed. She keeps shaking her head and scratching it. She goes outside sometimes but it does not look like a cut. I can not take her to the vet until tomorrow afternoon. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | 7 lbs

Hi. This looks pretty inflammed and painful. Its hard to tell exactly what it os by the picture. Id be concerned about an.infecrion, a.puncture, or even the beginning of a mass. Definitely get her in. Just for tonight you can apply a thin layer.of hydrocortisone cream on it. I would also recommned an ecollar cone so she can't scratch it. Get her in forst thing in the am.
