My dog is limping and can't put weight on her leg. Is it a sprain?

My dog Roxie has been limping since early this morning. She kept jumping off the bed repeatedly last night to scratch her ears. She can barely put any weight on it. Nothing seems to be broken or dislocated. She's eating normally and still affectionate. Is it a sprain?

She could have injured the soft tissues of her leg (tendons/ligaments/muscle), bones, or joints. Her barely putting any weight on it is concerning as she is likely painful. The best way to rule out something serious would be for her to be examined by your vet. Xrays are likely to be recommended as well. Dependent on the results treatment can then be prescribed and home care recommendationns provided to you. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
