Any tips about crate intolerance? I would like to have my dog crate trained because he poops when I leave even though he is potty-trained. Also I feel like a safe space would be good for him as he also has separation anxiety.

Poor Percy! I would definitely start now while he is still young. You can try a low playing calming music while he is in the crate. You can also get him a calming collar like adaptil and calming chews like composure or the prescription version composure pro. Finally, you can look into some calming essential oils. Not all oils are created equal so I would look into doterra oils or www.oilyvet.com to find oils safe for dogs. With time he will get use to the crate. You need to make it a positive place to be. You can hide a few treats under his bed so he gets a "reward" while in there. If all else fails and the separation anxiety is bad, I would talk to your vet about starting him on an anti-anxiety medicine to help calm his nerves. I hope this helps. https://www.quickanddirtytips.com/pets/dog-care/how-to-teach-your-dog-to-love-his-crate https://www.petco.com/content/petco/PetcoStore/en_US/pet-services/resource-center/new-pet/Puppy-and-Dog-Crate-Training.html
