Hi. I’ve just got a puppy. He’s 14 wks old. . He wees and poos a lot. He wees constantly. Sometimes large puddles, other times small. He has also peed on his bed a few times. He drinks a lot, is on a mix of wet and dry food. I bought some urine tests to see if there was a problem and it shows he has a S. G of 1060. Everything else seems to be ok from what I can see. The Vet said if he weed more than 6 times a day there’s prob a infection but 6 times doesn’t sound alot. Any advice pls?

Hi there. Diggory could just be having a hard time with potty training, but I would start with having your vet test his urine for infection. There is no solid number of how many times/day is normal, but this does sound more frequent that it should be. I would start by checking for infection, and if that is normal consult a trainer for potty training help. I hope that helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
