My dog's ear is scabby and losing hair for awhile. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

What is on my dogs ear? It’s been like this for awhile now. Sometimes it gets a little scabby. Her hair pulls out of this little area very easily as well. She is a terrier mix and otherwise in good health.

Many times lesions on the ear tips will be vasculitis or fungal. I recommend to have Willow see her veterinarian who may test for fungus and may put her on a medication. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions!
