Hello, sorry to hear about Dubi. This is generally a non specific finding and could be assocaited with excessive licking from (masturbation as he is intact), a UTI, a prostate infection, or even bladder stones. If he is an older pet, this could even mean some form of tumor in his baldder or prostate. If the bleeding has stopped then you can monitor him for any recurrence and if noted, then he would most likely benefit from beeing evaluated by his primary care veterinarian. Alternatively, if he has persistent or worsening bleeding, he will likely need to be seen tonight by an emergency clinician. Other signs to monitor for may include a prolapsed penis and staining or painful urinations. If you note these, then he should be evaluated immediately. Hope this helps and best of luck.

He could have a bladder infection or an infection of his prostate. He should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. Your vet can do a urinalysis to look for infection and then prescribe an antibiotic, if needed.

This is usually either a sign of prostate disease or urinary infection, you will need to take him to your vet in order to get it checked and treated ASAP. if it is an infection your vet will prescribe antibiotics, if it is a prostate disease you will need to have him neutered.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Snoopy! Is he neutered? I would collect a fresh urine sample and have him checked by your vet. Causes of bloody urine are: prostate problems if not neutered, prostate cancer even if neutered, bladder cancer, bladder stones, crystals in the urine or a urinary tract infection. Bloody urine is not normal. I wish you the best!
