My dog's eyes are red, puffy, and he keeps wiping them. What's wrong?

Good afternoon I got home from work and noticed my dogs eyes like this....all red and puffy and won’t keep them open and when I try to look they roll up in head...doesn’t seem to hurt him I’ve felt all around them. He keeps blinking them and taking his paws and wiping them. Help!

Poor Rowan! It looks like he is having an allergic reaction, has developed conjunctivitis or injured his eyes somehow. I would give him some Benadryl and put a cone collar on his head so he doesn't rub them and make them worse. You can also flush them with some eye irrigating solution or artificial tears. If they aren't improving or getting worse, I would have your vet take a look at them He may need antibiotics or steroid eye drops to make them better. I would not use any medicated eye drops unless directed by your vet as some can actually make certain eye conditions worse if used improperly. I hope this helps. https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/
