My hamster's ear tumor fell off. Is it okay? What to do now?

Hi my hamster grow something in his ear n I brought him to see a vet this Tuesday and the doctor said it was a tumor and something dirty so they give me a pain medicine to feed my hamster a drop a day also a medicine called “baytril otic” to give him a drop everyday in his ear. N the last drop I give him was on Thursday night later on Friday morning I found out the thing that grow in his ear has gone seems like he scratch it off its so wet n a little rotten. Pls check the pic what should i do.ty

Thanks for reaching out about your hamster. It seems the scab fell off, probably from scratching. The tumor probably still remains and will likely grow back. Surgical removal via a scapel, laser or cryo-apparatus could be used to lessen hemorrhage. At this point, continuing the ear drops might help to prevent secondary infections. Good luck.
