Is a small, long-standing mark on my cat's heel normal or ringworm?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I’ve noticed this small mark on my cat (who has been lodging with a friend for 1.5 years). At first I panicked and thought it was the start of ringworm. She said the mark has been there for ages... Just wondering if this is “normal” it’s right on his hind heel. Breed is a Scottish fold, 3yrs old desexed male.

You have a beautiful kitty. If the mark has been there for a long time and never changed, it may just be a bald spot and nothing to worry about. I would monitor it and if it gets bigger or if the skin starts to look red or injured then take your kitty to your vet for an exam.
