Why is my dog coughing like a furball after drinking water or resting?

My 10 yo Husky coughs & acts like a cat with a fur ball when she drinks cold water & just lying around doing nothing. She’s had X rays taken but nothing is seen abnormal. Vet has her on Zyrtec , not much of a change. Any ideas? Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Husky | Female | spayed | 65 lbs

I would try to keep the water room temperature as cold water can sometimes irritate their throats and stomachs. Also, I would try to elevate her food bowls to see if this helps! If she is drinking a lot of water really fast, this can also cause them to gag and choke. You may try to only fill up her bowl a small amount and just refill it often. I hope this helps!
