Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed

Hello, We’ve just come back from holidays and our dog now has scabbing on her nose, pussy oozing sores inside her ears, as well as cracking oozing sores around the sides of her paw pads. Our sitter said she was a little off colour. She’s booked in to see a vet in 4 days but I would love to know if you have any advice. She’s an outside dog and has been at this new property for 3 months, our other dog has no issues. The pink is antiseptic spray advised by our vetThank you for any advice or help!

This presentation could be caused by an allergy, or an infection possibly caused by mites or bacteria. First of all, in order to get rid of all skin parasites I would recommend to give a good quality flea treatment and ask your vet to perform some skin scrapes and scotch tests to rule out skin infections. Allergies are usually against food, environment (trees, grass, dust mites) or fleas. Some treatment can be given to resolve skin lesions, like antibiotics and steroids. I would suggest to have her checked as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or through a consultation.
