My dog has lost interest in food but is still playful. What's wrong?

From the last 2 days arjun is not showing his interest towards food.. instead of 2 cups he is eating only 1 cup of food that too with out any interest( i feel)... he is active ... running playing well... drinking water too... what may be the reason??? Should i worry???? summer has started here.... what should i do??? Am worried. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 2 days old | 80 lbs

I would recommend offering a different food altogether and see if Arjun will eat a different food better. Sometimes taste or texture can cause animals to have a finicky appetite. You can also add chicken broth to the current food and see if he will eat the entire amount that way. Adding chicken breast is not a bad idea either but I would try and switch to a completely different dog food. If his appetite declines further, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
