Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 7 months and 22 days old | 50.5 lbs
Her ph level was a 9 and her white blood cell count was extremely high and her red blood cell count was very low. They gave her a common antibiotic for a bladder infection. Two weeks later her ph was down to 5 but her white blood cell count was still high. So they gave her another antibiotic for a week. Today her ph was back to 9 and they just now saw crystals in her urine and only a few White blood cells. just looking for a second opinion. They want her to drink bottlewater and eata specialdiet

In these difficult cases I will usually take an x-ray to make sure that there are no bladder stones present, then I will culture the urine to determine what bacteria is present and what antibiotic would be most successful. Occasionally a special diet is needed but not always. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
