What are these brownish spots on my dogs stomach below his rib cage I just found it tonight I have no idea how long it has been there I have no idea if it is bothering him or not he let's me touch it and he seems to be acting normal and eating normal and from what I can see now that is the only spot like that is this something I should be concerned about and if so what should I do about it and how can i help him also he was just to vet for skin allergies and was on prednisone but is now off

I would be concerned that Hercules is having another skin flare up related to allergies. I'm not sure what therapies you have tried other than steroids. My advice would be to try to figure out the underlying cause. The 4 main things that will cause persistent skin issues are flea allergies, environmental allergies, food allergies and hypothyroidism. He's a young dog so that makes flea allergy or food allergy most likely. There are many types of food allergies including allergies to the size that the protein. Therefore I always recommend a prescription food called Ultamino as it will diagnose all types of food allergies. I recommend a product called Simparica for fleas. I think talking to your veterinarian about which option is best for Hercules makes sense as they are most familiar with him. I hope this helps to point you in the right direction.
