My dog vomited grass in crate twice, but acts normal. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years old | 50 lbs

My dog has vomitted twice in their crate. Once yesterday and once today. Both times were grassy-and not chunky. Should I be worried? The dog is otherwise acting completely normal.

There are several reasons for vomiting. I would try to feed small frequent meals of just plain boiled skinless, boneless chicken and white rice to see if this settles her tummy. I would also try to keep her from eating grass outside. If she continues to vomit, I would have your vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to determine the cause of the vomiting and get her started on the proper meds to help her feel better. They will also be able to do bloodwork or x-rays if needed. I hope this helps!
