My dog ate a bag of dark chocolate. It has been about a week. He has been throwing up occasionally but overall eats and drinks normally. Tonight he has to constantly go out and this last time he was puking a good amount and is shivering. I do not have his temperature. I would like to wait it out until Monday or at least Sunday morning. Anything I can give him for upset stomach or to make him feel a little better?

Hi, It has been a week since when he ate the chocolate and the chocolate toxicity monitoring is normally up to 72 hours if we're being safe. So by a week I assume the GI signs your dog experiencing is not a result of the episode a week ago. You can try and monitor for the next 24 hours first withhold food for several hours, then you can feed your dog small amounts of bland food, such as boiled chicken breast and rice (no bones/additives). If he is still vomiting he will need antiemetics medication to support him. In case he is lethargic, continues vomiting, blood in diarrhea then you will need to go to your vet sooner. Good Luck hope he will feel better soon.
