Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 5 months old | 10 lbs
I have 3 cats. My cat Zoe has been on antibiotics since 12/23 for a UTI. It’s Clavamox. She’s also on a pain killer. We’ve been giving her the antibiotic pill crushed in food because she wouldn’t take it whole. But this morning we noticed blood in urine in cat litter box (we’re on vacation so they’re all using it). What should we do? We have a 10-hour drive to Pennsylvania. Is she OK?

Thank you for using PetCoach. I would recommend taking Zoe back to the veterinarian to be rechecked. Sometimes stress can cause blood in the urine as well, so if they’ve been traveling with you that could be part of the cost. But she does need to be reevaluated. If she is eating drinking and otherwise acting normally, you can probably wait till you get home to take her to the vet. But if she is acting painful, hiding, not eating or has any vomiting I would recommend an emergency veterinarian today. Here’s some more info that may help. https://www.vin.com/veterinarypartner/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951488
