My dog's eye is red and sore around the eyelid. What's wrong?

One of dogs eyes looks red and sore , it’s just around his eye. Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 9 months and 2 days old | 50 lbs

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate eyelid infection, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops (which can be used on skin around the eyes as well). Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.
