What to do if my cat came home bloody and is excessively drooling?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

Hi, I let my cat out in our backyard a couple of days ago, she's out twice a week with no problem but this time she came back with blood around her mouth, paws and neck. Panicked, I checked her thoroughly to see if the blood came from her. It didn't so I assume she killed something. I gave her a bath to get rid of the blood & everything seemed fine except for her mouth. It's been two days now and she seems to be excessively drooling, not sure if im just paranoid but should I be worried?

I would be worried because excessive drooling isn't normal. It could be Princess broke a tooth while on her adventures away, and that would cause the blood you saw around her face. I would take her into a vet as soon as possible to get checked out. Best of luck.
