Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 years and 4 months old | 7.5 lbs
My cat is passing loose stools, sometimes the color that they should be, sometimes lighter with mucus. Still drinks water, but eating has decreased. She's strictly indoors and the only change in the house in the past six months was the addition of a kitten. The kitten was checked and found to be in perfect health. She did not take well to the addition, barely ate for a few weeks, lost weight, but then started eating again. Refuses to adjust to the kitten, doesn't like that he doesn't show fear.

It could just be Brigid has a GI illness causing the diarrhea. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.
