I see that Pappy Fox isn't neutered. In dogs who aren't neutered, prostate problems are a very likely cause of bleeding from the penis. These problems include benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, and prostate cancer. The bleeding could also be caused by a UTI or bladder stones. I would take him into your vet today for an exam. Your vet can do a rectal exam to see if his prostate is enlarged, and can do x-rays, routine blood tests, and a urinalysis to see if he has a UTI or bladder stones. If he does have a problem with his prostate, neutering him is one of the recommended treatments. Best of luck.

Poor guy. If the penis is gettinng stuck outside he sheath causing bleeding, then yes neutering him is the solution. However if he is dripping blood while urinating then a UTI may be present and he should get his urine tested and put on medication (I.e. Antibiotics). Yes a vet visit can be costly depending on what needs to be done. Here are some financial resources that may be able to help you get Lucky Boy the care he needs. Hopefully you can get him seen soon, especially if this has been going on for 6 months. Carecredit.com Redrover.org Gofundme.com
