Is it safe to give my dog Flagyl for diarrhea twice in one day?

I didn't even finish my question...which is Most Important\ Is it safe to give Laddie dying from Kidney Failure anoyher half flagyl tablet if he had one at 8 A.m. this previous morning...he's down to 13 lbs...hbope maybe gained...but likely no more than a half lb. 13.6 lbs. now most likely still. I think likely he's had or having diahrea (sp.) so0rry Would it be dangerous or any trouble for him rto give another half flagyl shortly after he eats? this is SO extremely important1 everything with h

Flagyl (metronidazole) is safe and effective if given twice daily at intervals of 12 hours not exceeding dosage of 15mg/kg. Otherwise it can become toxic or ineffective. A bland diet (boiled white fish and rice) could be useful as well to solidify feces.
