Why is my cat's poop black and smelly after spay and antibiotics?

Pet's info: Cat | Egyptian Mau | Female | 6 months and 14 days old

Hello.. both my cats (sisters 7 months) been spayed 5 days ago.. unfortunately the vet wasnt professional enough and he caused internal bleeding in both of them.. now they are recovering.. but they have a fever.. today was 39.1, 39.3 and yesterday was for both 40 c... my vet gave them antibiotic and something else to lower their temperature.. now their stool is not normal.. its like in the picture black and smell.. i dont know what to do.. can you help me?

Hello. I am sorry for your concerns about your kitties misfortunes. I would not be too concerned about the stool. It probably is due to the antibiotic discoloring the stool. The important things are their appetites & color. If they are eating & drinking fairly normally & their mucous membranes ( gum tissues just above the canine teeth ) is at least a pale pink color, then they are probably healing well. The stools should clear up within a few days of stopping the antibiotic. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
