My dog has a bump from vaccine. Is it normal? How to reduce swelling?

Hello, my dog was recently boarded at his vet and was given his vaccinations. He now has a bump on his right hip, which is where I was told his rabies shot was given. Is this normal, and is there something I should do to reduce the inflammation such as ice or an anti-inflammatory medication?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If it is truly from the vaccination, it is likely going to go away on its own fairly soon. Sometimes it can take several weeks to go away. If it has not decreased in size in the next few weeks, have him reevaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Best of luck!
