My pet accidentally ate an iron supplement. Is it toxic? What to do?

My pet ( more than 5 kilos) accidentally take 6ml of papi iron plus b complex, (which contains 80 mg of ferrous sulfate per 1ml)... what will happen and should I worry?

480 mg of ferrous sulphate (96-192mg pure/elemental iron) is a significant dose for a dog with 20-60mg/kg body weight being a concern and over 60mg/kg being dangerous. If this was only just eaten, your vet may recommend inducing vomiting followed by medications to bind the iron and reduce absorption. Initial gastroinestinal signs of vomiting and diarrhoea would be expected which should be treated by your vet to prevent dehydration, in severe cases this may progress to shock and liver damage and possibly perforation or permanent scarring of the bowel due to ulcers
