Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 18 years and 2 months old | 10.5 lbs
I have a sedentary 18 year old feline that has had constipation issues for years. My vet had her on Mirapex, but she developed nerve issues where she twitched a lot and cried. About every 3 days she stops eating, throws up, and poops all over the house. She has no control that day. The rest of the time she goes in her litter box just fine. She doesn't drink a lot of water so I am reluctant to give her fiber. I am very low income and can't afford medicine or supplements.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If you are unable to afford medications or supplements you could try adding 1 teaspoon of canned pumpkin to her meals which may help with constipation and also to regulate her stools. Good luck!
