My blind dog's eye is swollen, gooey, and painful. What's wrong?

my dog has a blind eyes for years now and this morning his eye is swollen with clear gunk in it and cries when i touch it

A blind eye often gets infected, in many cases it is better to have the eye removed surgically if the problem does not resolve after a course of antibiotics. i would recommend taking him urgently to your vet to get this treated.
