Why is my cat having seizures, vomiting, restless, and not eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 years and 9 months old | 2 lbs

My cat started having seizures a year ago once per month. Now she is restless she walks and runs from one room to another and cries non stop at home day and night. She started vomiting her food and not eating anything. She is so thin. I did blood tests twice all her results show nothing. I need advice. I am seeing her suffer. Thank you

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Seizures can occur due to many reasons that go from a toxicity, metabolic diseases, inflammatory diseases and even tumors. I suspect that the lack of appetite could be somewhat related to the seizures or may be to what is causing the seizures though keep in mind that these could all be separate issues. I highly recommend that you have Brownie evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. Diagnostics that will be recommended will include bloodwork and advanced imaging such as an MRI. They would also be able to start her on anti-seizure medications to try to avoid the onset of more seizures. Good luck and have a good day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
